Captain Ayodele SASEGBON

Having recently retired as the Director, General Aviation of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Ayodele (Dele) served in several capacities during his tenure.

He was a committee member on the National Civil Aviation Policy (NCAP) development, the review of Nigerian Civil Aviation Act as well as the Act for all Six Parastatals of the Federal Ministry of Aviation.

Consultant, Loben Limited

Serving as a Consultant to Loben Limited, Ayodele (Dele) brings his wealth of experience in Regulatory Procedures, Programs and manuals in the execution of projects for international clients.

Civil Aviation Engagements

Dele also served as a Panel Member of the Technical and Administrative Review Panel on Domestic Airlines (TARPDA) instituted by the Federal Ministry of Aviation. These were in addition to his duties as the Chief Technical Designated Agent – International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Cooperative Development of Operational Safety & Continuing Airworthiness Programme (COSCAP-BAG). Dele coordinated the program in Seven English speaking countries (Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Guinea Conakry, The Gambia, and Cape Verde).

Committees

Dele was a committee member on the National Civil Aviation Policy (NCAP) development, the review of Nigerian Civil Aviation Act as well as the Act for all Six Parastatals of the Federal Ministry of Aviation.

Aviation Management

Prior to engaging with the NCAA, Dele served as the Aviation Superintendent with Chevron-Texaco Nigeria, after completing a stint as a Safety Inspector with the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority and the Directorate of Safety Regulations and Management (DSARM) Lagos, Nigeria. In the late 1990’s Dele successfully acted as the lead Chief Pilot at Pan African Airlines Nig. Ltd (PAAN), after actively flying as a Training Pilot with Aero Contractors Nigeria Limited.

Education

Dele holds a master’s degree in Aviation Safety Management from the City University London, United Kingdom.
